RE: Laid back and romantic int amp.

I had the Denon PMA-2000ivr for several years but rarely used it as my primary integrated amp. It is how you describe but almost too much so. The main issue I had with it was the closed in constrained sound. It was deep and dark but everything was deep and dark with little top end. It didn't seem very transparent to me or maybe that's what a very deep and dark amp sound is like.

Some people like it. I didn't but that's a matter of personal taste.
