FWIW, your MagTech is rated at 1,800 watts. The P5 is rated at 1,200 watts total which appears to be about 33% lower capacity than your MagTech.

A lot of people indicate that these types of devices can starve amps unless they are in the 5KVa to 10KVa range.

If you have a trial policy, test your MagTech both with and without the device in the power chain to see if you notice any diminished transient headroom. The MagTech has a considerable reserve, so it may not be an issue.
