your tube options are pretty much limited to old Dynaco/Eico/Scott stuff or new low end Chinese. Neither really exploits what tube stuff can really do in terms of harmonic richness nor resolution.
If you simply mean dark and smooth, then NAD fits the bill. Very listenable whose sins are largely of omission.
