I own and am using in 3 different systems, AI Mod3A, ARC SP-16 and Counterpoint SA-1000 preamps. All VERY nice. Each using different tube types. The AIM3A uses 4 6922/6DJ8, SP-16,uses 6 12AX7 and Counterpoint using 2 12AX7 in phono and 1 6922/6DJ8 in line stage. You may find a Counterpoint less than $500. Only the ARC has remote and option of using aftermarket power cord.
