RE: Bias now set, sound is distorted

I have seen it as high as 639V on start up, but it stabilises to about 620V. My meter is also calibrated and NIST traceable too.

Yes, the quad cap has been replaced and the 6 large ones between the transformers - and several hidden under that PSU board. I guess one of the new ones could be bad...

The distortion sounds like harmonic distortion, it is at all volume levels, on both channels.

Last night I re-tubed the VT100, so tonight I can spend some more time on the D76 - will check the voltages at the quad cap.
