That would work theoretically, of course with all things being equal (matched tube triodes, all other parts in spec, etc...). Seriously, I wouldn't worry unless things sound very wrong, and you rule out the other things (output tube bias, worn tubes, bad parts).
As I have said, haven't touched mine since I got it!
