Amp/Preamp Asylum Looking for a new Amp or Preamp? If you're after tubes, post over here. |
|
Hi,
I have acquired a D-76 in need of some TLC. With my Eico 666 tester I have matched all the tubes quite well, and bought new ones where necessary, so that I think all the tubes are now strong and fairly well matched. I replaced all the o/p caps as some looked a little dodgy.
Now I need to set the bias. The board has these sockets that look like they'll take a 1/4" jack - is that right? I am not sure how these work - they look like they might let you measure mA directly.
If not, can I check mV across a resistor somewhere?
The instructions say to aim for 60mA for all 4 tubes.
TIA,
Mark
