I need to find myself a Tube Pre Amp that utilizes 12AX7 or 12AU7 tubes, that is very, very smooth, at least a little warm and has excellent quality Bass and Treble controls.
A pre amp that doesn't present the music in a "In-Your-Face " manner, rather, in a more refined, well-balanced.....slightly polite manner.
Don't want anything that naturally highlights the high frequencies and treble in an edgy, strident .....harsh manner. I want smooth, musical and sweet.
Price point would have to be up to the $2,000-$2,500.00 mark.
Any suggestions?
