hi Mikie,
I do not think I have the MC60 yet, but for now I am very lazy to restore any amp as: 1. They are 110V instead of here 240V,
2. I tend to tweak to tune the sound without an end, now I have (a.)the C28 with the headphone amp converted into a small power amp with SEPP OTL output, the amp is still have the bottom opened, b) have the Fisher 100 EL37 amp heavily converted, c.) have a Made in China Mullard 5-20 amp converetd to SE low watt amp, d.) working of Mac 1900, completed power amp converting the output from NPN-NPN to NPN/PNP, but have not done with the pre amp and the power supply.
I am now listening to a cheap 6V6 SE amp that is still under going modification.
So I guess my purpose is just to get an exit for the moment, since the new Mac seemed to be quite good, esp with the remote and meter, I will use them as a typical consumer fro the musc plsu DVD session... What I will do will be just to elimitae extra control and to adjust the bias, if the topology inside still allow me to do it!
I do hope to get a decent MC60 and Eico 60 though!
very best rgds
William Lee
