Hi all, I have and enjoy a refurbished Eico HF-85 tube preamplifier. In addition to the sonics, I notice that this preamplifier has a lot of gain, particularly in the phono stage. Is this characteristic of this preamp, or is it the fact that it has been rebuilt with Illinois caps? just curious, thanks, Michael
