"Please put to rest the idea that there aren't "artifacts" and difficulties and problems with traditional transistor analog amplifiers as well. "Of course, but these "artifacts" manifest themselves in broken analog Class A/AB transistor amps, not those that are functioning properly. I have yet to hear any Class A/AB amp interfere with AM/FM/TV reception which is not uncommon in Class D designs. The heart of Class D designs require noisy switching signals that do not exist in Class A/AB amps.
The Hypex nCore NC400 based monoblocks I had on loan were not that great IMHO. I thought the Bel Canto S300 was awful. On the other hand, the W4S SX-500 amps were much better sounding to my ears. A couple NuForce monoblocks that I had were the best sounding but those produced more RFI than the others. Yes, RFI that basically shutdown my ability to listen to FM broadcasts and blocked a handful of TV channels.
Place a transistor radio near a Class D amp and let me know what you hear. Do the same thing with a traditional Class A/AB amp.
