My point is, there are ON & OFFs, and sharp edge transitions in Class D amps. And those ON & OFF transitions produce a huge amount of noise. Noise that is inherent in the design of Class D amps that have to be dealt with and mitigated.
Even then, some Class D amps will interfere with AM/FM tuners, and TV reception. I have experienced this personally with a couple Class D mono blocks that I once owned and used in an A/V setup.
You would never notice this in an audio-only setup but it was obvious that the Class D mono blocks were producing huge amounts of noise that blocked some AM/FM broadcasts and several TV channels in my setup.
None of this exists at all in traditional Class A/AB designs. Any such noise (perhaps oscillations / motorboating) in these Class A/AB amps would indicate they were broken. Internal self-generated noise is just an inherent and deliberate part of Class D amps that have to be dealt with.
