Note that the amp has a clock that produces a digital square wave reference for the carrier frequency, probably a few hundred KHz or more. Also note that the PWM pulses have distinct On/Off (digital) states. Also note that the output switcher has distinct On/Off (digital) states. It would be impossible to describe this as purely analog.Also note that -some- Class D amps do use delta-sigma modulators.
