RE: what's the dealer's role?

Dealers always try and promote the notion the they provide support for their products but in general (and in this case), they simply refer warranty issues back to the manufacturer. I purchased the amp in the US but live in Canada and because the dealer doesn't stock the amp it wasn't a simple matter of an exchange. My options where to send the amp back for a refund or have it repaired. Initially, the amp was functional in every respect except for he fact that the "standby" function did not work and I was assured by Boz (the owner) that the problem was easily fixable with a new controller board. I went along with this assuming the whole issue would be easily resolved. The problem was that, by the time that I realized that I couldn't trust Boz at his word, and that the company was in disarray, a little over a month had passed and the dealer (Jeff Stake) refused my request for a refund. I don't believe the dealer handled this with integrity but he had my money and I was stuck.
