Interesting journey.
I know you said you are through with tubes, but I would think a solid state amp that puts out a lot of current and decent power, coupled with a tube preamplifier, would be perfect for those speakers. Would love to hear them with my CJ MF2250 and Rogue Audio RP-5, or with similar pieces. For all solid state, I bet they'd sound amazing with Simaudio or Hegel.
