I tried their 300 Mono's a couple of years ago and bought them, selling off my VAC Phi 200. Then my dealer whispered into my ear that the preamp was even more special, in his experience. So, I tried that, too, and I agreed it was mighty good, so I bought that and sold off my VAC Ren Sig II. Both steps were striking moves forward toward live music, IME and in my system.
I would guess that the 250 is cut from the same cloth, and I agree with Mr. Peabody that the system with them just sounds like good music, very transparent, with excellent rhythmic timing, while also having nice timbre and harmonic "meat on the bones".
