Erm ..the F7 Does NOT need or imo benefit in any way from having a Pre messing the audio signal before it. A simple stoopid Dact Pot is All that one needs for anything other than a phono source.
Sounds of a simple pot /passsive on an F7 are outstanding.. by any yardstick.. Assuming of course the speakers ..can.. reproduce the subtleties.
