You must be right, Charles. But only one monoblock was showing in the room at the time, or it was some other demo unit from way back. So I'm still unsure exactly what model it was as there was no model shown. But it was a superb sound, or as I thought, possibly no sound from the amp I could tell.

Coming from tubes, this neutrality, stability, and see-through transparency all at once was quite something. Tubes are difficult to hold images quite as rock solid as they wiggle themselves with microphonic pickup. Transistors as I knew them to be were always a bit limited in the back of the soundstage, and tubes could penetrate back deeper, but just slightly confused when heard with concentration.

These amps mess up the order of the universe! :-)
