HI Jonathan -Can you tell us more about the solid-state amp section in the VK300x? I believe it is rated at 150w/ch which is more than the VK200 (100w/ch) power amp that I own. I would suspect that the power supply and design of the amp section must be smaller than the VK-200 but yet BAT is able to claim 150w/ch. Are they using the modular amp sections similar to those used in the BAT VK-6200?
I own the VK-200 amp and VK-30se tube preamp and it would be interesting to know if the VK-300x could replace these w/o any sonic compromise and save me some rack space. Just a thought. That VK-300x is a nice looking piece.
