There are several great sounding EL-84 vintage amps but one of the best sounding vintage EL84/6BQ5 amps is the Eico HF-81. It's actually an integrated amp. They tipically go for less than $300 unless it has been rebuilt. There is usally several on Ebay. I bought one about a year ago by placing a "want ad" on Audiogon and avoided the bidding.
