Hello and Thank you for your respones Gentlemen. Yes i thought through what i have read on the net (to much maybe) and what a few people mentioned was.... that if i replace the 5U4G tube with a Indirectly heated one as mentioned like a GZ37 which is close to the 5u4g in specs and operation (in circuit) i would be not be stripping the Cathodes of the 6L6 Power Tubes and prolonging the 100's to 1000's of hours of use of left them (hopefully) this is good to know i agree i do like the 5u4g though and i have some Vintage tested pair of Jan 5u4gs, tested Groove tube 5u4g/gb and one tested Jan RCA 5u4g i wish i had another Jan RCA 5u4g!.
