It appears that the culprit is the Budgie. Does anyone know whether I could get schematics? Its tubes are glowing but there is no sound. There's no hum, it is dead quiet.
Yesterday I was visited by a friend who, unlike me, has some technical knowledge, and he asked about schematics and whether there is a fuse inside.
We could not find a suitable screwdriver to get inside.
