Hello, long time lurker, little posting. I am possibly looking at upgrade/changing my preamp in my system. I would appreciate any advise even if my requirements are fairly simple.

I love the sound of my system overall-ARC CD2/LS3 pre/D-130 power/Magnepan MMG or Ohm Walsh 3/3000, along with the occasional listen to FM on a Magnum Dynalab D90 tuner. Note I do not plan on any speaker change at this time!

I would prefer to stay with an ARC pre overall, looking for some improvement in sound quality, but mainly I am looking for a remote controlled pre that would match the rest of the gear soundwise. I have been looking at the LS15/16 as a possibility, the benefit of the remote as well as balanced inputs/outputs allow me to take advantage of that with my other gear. I do not at the present have long interconnect runs etc., but know from past experience that some balanced designs simply do sound better.

I am looking at used in the $1200-$1500 or so price range, a bit of flexibility here. I would appreciate any thoughts and what those benefits of recommended preamps would be. Thanks for your time! Tim
