While the Salon 2's are not perfect, they are much more revealing of upstream changes than most loudspeakers on the market. As such, if there is *anything* different between the chain driving the mid-tweeter and the woofer, it will not just "stick out like a sore thumb", it will be more like a "poke in the eye with a sharp stick".
Trust me, I've been there and done that.
To biamp (at least at any point above 100Hz or so), *everything* has to be identical. So you end up spending twice as much on interconnects, twice as much on amplifiers, twice as much on speaker cables, twice as much on power cords, and twice as much on racks, stands, or cones.
Ninety percent of the sonic improvement from passive bi-amping comes from true bi-wiring (not separate wires within the same cable, often called "internal bi-wiring"). Save yourself a ton of heartache, time, and money, buy two great sets of *identical* speaker cables, and connect them to one good amp instead of two cheaper amps.
