If I had that CJ amp, I'd keep it and count myself lucky.
If I had to buy new high power amplification on the cheap, I'd take a look at the Schiit Vidar. A pair of them in monoblock configuration with balanced inputs will deliver 400 wpc into 8 ohms for about $1400. Then again, I'm a Schiit fanboy.
