Hi Bob,Your e-mail address is at New England Biolabs, which according to their website is located 30 miles north of Boston. There are still some good brick & mortar retailers within driving distance of your area.
Before spending many thousands of dollars on anything, I would recommend listening to it in person, and if possible, borrowing it at least overnight to hear in your own system. It is well worth a Saturday to avoid living in regret with sound you don't enjoy. Please remember that there is nothing wrong with a dealer spending a lot of time with you and you not buying anything from him, but it is definitely considered bad manners to spend hours listening and then buying the exact same thing online to save money.
The other strategy employed by many is to purchase used. If they don't like it, they then re-sell it for roughly what they paid for it. This can also be a good approach if you don't mind boxing things up, advertising them, and that whole rigamarole. Unfortunately it can be your only choice if you don't live in near a major metro area with a dealer that carries the lines you are interested in.
