OK. stupid questions.
1. what is an op amp?

this is my tube, integrated amp from Triode corp of japan. i think it sounds quite nice.
TRX-88PP KT88 parallel push-pull ended integrated amplifier
Specification
Tubes : KT88*8 , 12AX7*2 , 12AU7*2 , 12BH7*2
Bias : Self bias
Output power : A class 50W+50W at 8 ohms
Frequency response : 10Hz-60kHz(-2dB)


have NO interest in computer storage of music. happy to change CD's.

OK, i would LOVE to spend money on a GREAT DAC that you guys recommend. i want it to SOUND BETTER than my Oppo. i want SOUND for my investment. do i just use the Oppo to spin the disc, and the DAC to change digital to analog? how do i connect it?

eager to get my ELAC speakers. pretty soon.

i welcome any ideas! i cannot be offended. i want to learn.
