RE: "differential bridged output " balanced or not?

Perhaps another reason for so many opinions is, that to have a discussion of "balanced or not" without knowing the degree of circuit balance required for the intended application of distance and signal to noise requirement, or the degree of balance offered by a given implementation that is called a balanced circuit, yet with no statement of longitudinal balance provided.

For this subject it is understandable... even as a degree'd EE with long product development experience in the computer communications field, like many others, I did not fully understand or appreciate what a high degree of balance is capable of achieving until I was part of a digital PBX telephone system design project. Bell Labs was probably the first master of this subject to great advantage to them. It took the computer communications industry much longer to get wise on this important design characteristic.

That's where for the first time I fully learned to appreciate and understand circuit longitudinal balance measurements and degree of balance required for high data rates on long cable circuits.

It's great to finally start seeing balanced circuit design and interconnect in high end audio.

Google "longitudinal balance" and one can find volumes of information on this topic from many different applicable fields. It quite an in depth subject to discuss...
