It was for several days. After a while I just couldn't take the listening fatigue.
Again, this was only ONE setup situation where the new cables were not an improvement. That was between a CJ preamp and a Dynaco VTA ST-70. I believe the problem was a higher input impedance of the tube amp causing the problem - NOT the cable.
And again, ALL the other setup uses were a vast improvement. Oddly enough an improvement was seen when I used the BJ cables to input on my vintage Sherwood S-5000 tubed integrated amp. Boy do I love that amp!!!!
Also there was a marked improvement using the CJ preamp and solid state vintage Marantz 250M power amp. I believe the input impedance on that amp is 100k vs 270k of the VTA
