Help please...V12r back from Cary - still not working...

I just received my V12i back from Cary for a repair and the "R" upgrade. We connected the unit and properly biased it. We get a very, very low sound which is about 10% source and 90% static. It almost sounds like the problem you have with a loose connection but it happens in both channels. It also happens with all sources so sources can be ruled out. I am using a brand new Van Alstine preamp which is not the problem either as this was just confirmed in another system.

Anybody have any ideas?

1 We double checked bias at 275mA (did the new tube change from 6922 to 12BZ7 have anything to do with a different recomended bias setting?

2 We triple cheked all connections (this shouldnt be the problem either as my system remained exactly the same while my amp was shipped to Cary

3 My output tubes are all still good and they were re-inserted exactly the same way they were arranged originally.

Please, I would love ideas. This "upgrade" set me back $500 and took over a month. I would hate to have to "upgrade" again.
