The last time I talked to John, about 6 months ago,

he told me straight out that they were implementing an internal DAC. They use an analog architecture (see classd.org for what that means), and unless they have totally redesigned the basic amp module, they must use a DAC. They can call it whatever they want on the web site, it is all marketing. Again, talk to John, not Toni. I would be very interested to hear if they have in fact redesigned the amp and are now implementing a whole new design.
