Gmood1, I only took a quick peak when I tried out a 25 on CC's 30 day return policy.

This is what Wayne..the modder of the 45 had to say about what was missing.

At least 8 large ps supply caps,dc-dc convertors,switching mosfets and transistors and a seriuos amount of associated parts are missing from the 25.

He goes on to state that he will not be modding the 25 because a good portion of the modded 45's improved sonics come from modding this part of the board.


I never had a 25 and 45 to compare side by side but going off memory, the soundstage was wider and deeper and the highs seemed cleaner whith more detail on the 45.

The 25 had over three weeks run in before I returned it and got the 45.

Keep in mind that I am using very revealing speakers that have crossovers that cost double the Pany 45 for just the parts and others may not hear as big a difference as I did going off memory of the two stock units sound.
Also the bass seemed similar whith maybe a little more punch from the 45 IMHO.
