I already had the 550 upgraded to EXR status, and my preamp upgrade to T7 SLR status.

I did find THE perfect piece to test out the modded panny with - Beethoven's 7th symphony conducted by John Elliot Gardiner on period insruments. This absolutely needs the color and vivacity that my main system is able to produce with ease right now, it's a very tough test, because if any details or color or harmonics are lost, the performance ends up sounding a bit lifeless and sterile. So, obviously this is a big decision for me, cause I've paid a lot for my main system and don't want to sell it off and regret it later. We shall see what happens :-)
