Yes, it's true - after you posted your impressions based on 2 weeks breakin (and a LOT of them) you did insert the unit back into your system a week later, so you posted, and found "no improvement".On this thread alone, never mind countless others, your experience has contrasted greatly with many others that have similarly high priced equipment as yourself. In fact others on this thread have owned equipment whose prestige and pricetag dwarfs mine too.
I haven't done a search, but I'd suspect you've posted in more panasonic threads than anyone else on the page, including me - certainly including this thread. My only mistake was saying I'd shut up, where you made no such promise - my mistake, I'll take that blow.
Thanks for posting my review again - you know, the one after 8 weeks of ownership and daily listening. I just re read it, and stand by all of it (well, except for the shutting up part!!!)
All I'm saying is that the ratio of your posting activity is way out of proportion to your actual experience with this piece of gear. Way, way out.
What's funny is that I come back and check on AA every hour or so, but beyond that I'm having a blast all afternoon watching my now 7 day old XR15 break in on my Quad ESL 57's. God it sounds awful still! Better than a couple days ago maybe, but damn. It's throwing around space like a champ, but it's full of mud - the bass is a disaster - as it was to a large degree even after 14 days with my XR25. I had no idea what was to come then - but this time, I do. That's why it's fun - this time!
