Mike Sanders has recommended 45, that's only 5ma more than what I ran with the kt88s.
It appears that we once again need to establish that in a bias circuit, lowering the bias will red-plate the tube with the maximum exchange of electrons between cathode and anode and raising the bias lowers the exchange of electrons i.e. makes the tube run cooler. So is you meant to say that Mike Sanders suggested you switch from 40ma to 45, that is a lower setting in terms of how hot the tube is running.
