The 'extension cord' is made up of two quad twisted set of four 12 gauge mil spec teflon insulated silver plated wire. Each quad twist was wrapped around with teflon tape to hold the square shape, then the two quads wrapped together with a pair of ten gauge ground wires between.
Each quad and one ground has a separate Wattgate plug to the wall receptical. The far end each A/C pair has it's own receptical. For four separate A/C lines available.
As for power conditioning. i started with a small Adcom ACE515, Then added a second Adcom 315... then a Monster 5000, then a Monster 7000SS, then added a Monster AVS2000.
Used the Monster 5000 for the video stuff for a long time.
Dropped the AVS2000 as useless and stuck it in a closet.
Aquired a Furman REF20i used. added that.
Then added a PS Audio PPP. but mostly took that out and stuck that in the closet for a year, just cuz..??
Then read how the PS Audio P600 (and P1000 etc) had a unique feature where it can output ANY frequency from 60hz to 120hz. Since the vast majority of electronics can run on this I decided to buy one. So I added the PS Audio P600.
So now, the system is set to use the Furman REF20i for the Amplifier (Bryston 4B-SST2) and all the video, including the Denon 4806 receiver.
The PS Audio PPP is set to 'Multiwave mode' and is used for the VAC standard I use as a tube buffer, and my Bryston BP-26 preamp. Also the Audio Research SP-15 i use at times just for the tube phono.
The PS Audio P600 is set to output A/C at 110hz instead of 60 hz for all the digital stuff. (better than 90hz, or 72hz which I also tried for awhile)
The Monster 7000SS is now in the closet, and the Monster AVS2000 is sold off. I threw away the Adcom 515. The Monster 5000 is in the bedroom for a earphone setup I have there. And the Adcon 315 is on the refrigerator.. (Don't ask why.. i will not answer)
And no, I do not have any A/C "problems". The power conditioners are to refine the sound. The clarity and better upper frequency sound really matter to me. So as i learned just how much the conditioners could do for me, I kept buying bigger and better ones.
The Furman REF20i os $3,500 retail. I found one via Audiogon close enough to drive and pick up for $1,400. Same with the PS Audio P600, I go that for $1,000. used, local pickup. (For info: the P600 and other 'p' models may or may NOT have the board added to allow the one hz at a time incremental 60hz to 120 hz, nor the Multiwave. So if anyone looks for one, be certain it has these features already, as no more upgrade boards available)
So... Is that an answer to your query?
