Here it is.




The front wall configuration determined after discussion with an ASC consultant, who studied photos of the problematic very-lived-in room and the then-trap configuration I'd set up using traps used previously in a dedicated room I'd had to vacate. Contrary to what I expected from "clamping" the speakers as shown, there's no constriction of soundstage or "air". Quite the reverse. Focus, image localization and dimensionality, articulation, and perceived transient response are substantially improved despite the lack of being able to trap the front corners (there's not one on the left, and the right one is occupied by equipment). The "clamping" largely isolates the speakers from the very evident reflective environment behind them. Of course I have to move the traps to the left of the right speaker out of the way whenever we watch video, but that's no big deal.

As it turns out, this configuration enabled me to actually remove a number of traps placed elsewhere in the room.
