yeah, the 101 is a tad bright - perhaps a TOUCH aggressive. BUT i'm running it through a pair of vintage mcintosh MC60 monoblocks - so they compliment each other nicely.
other thoughts are i love that you can run it passive and the noble pots are awesome.
plus if i try an MM cartridge - i can play with resistive and capacitive loading til the cows come home. i can play with resistive on MC, but i don't think capacitive does much on MC cartridges.
