I generally agree with your review of the AI. I have had my M3A for about 4 yrs. now and I have never regretted this purchase. As others have mentioned, the AI is definitely not the worlds best preamp. I preferred the Hovland and the Wyetech Opal in my system but, considering that these units cost about 3 times that of the AI, it would be surprising if they were not superior. Still, the AI is outstanding value and undoubtedly one of the best buys in high-end audio.
