I tried out a MAP-1 as a possible solution to handle MC bypass. It's preamp stage seemed much better than the one in my existing Pre/Pro (which I still use for DD/DTS decoding). I eventually wound up with a different analog 4x6 MC preamp/switcher solution which currently has three (3) sets of MC analog inputs connected to it.
I doubt I'll find a digital Pre/Pro which matches the preamp stage of my current MC preamp. Or if there is one, I probably won't be able to afford it. A tubed MC preamp is still on my wish list.
