I am glad things are going your way after the ASL mess. I recently built some direct coupled 2A3 amps. They sound nice, but perhaps a little clinical, non-emotional for my tastes. It could be tubes, and I have been collecting some to roll through. Yet, I am thinking that I really want to rebuild the amps to accept 45's. Everyone keeps telling me that my 95db FE168e quarter wave pipes will not due them justice, but, thankfully, your experiences suggest otherwise. Could you please comment on the you volume, room size, and music type to help give me a better idea.Thanks,
