and full K-slotted orchestra - those mods should "fix" things!!!dunno 'bout D123 - Aristocrat is a bit too small so larger reflex or DBR might be ticket - D123 and SP12 are relatively good old direct-radiators (also like SP15B alhough not lot of jump factor)
did you try distributive vents? - can muck up sine but was my best vent 40yr ago w. cheap 12"
Eico has sat - needs buckformer to get line to ~110 - wants to run too hot - might still have funky PP 50 cent caps from Unk Ned - tin might do trick for good tone - Eico iron like ST-70 = very nice for buidling pp-triode and no feeedback - dunno if Hammond can cut cake or not - maybe with EQ from partially bypassed cathode resistor
got 1K p-p - if built with these would be lotta tubes in push-pull parallel = time for MONO !
