I see that some power conditioner mfg's imply that capacitors degrade performance in power strips. What's the real deal here in your estimation? Auricap tweak good, Auricap tweak bad, or Auricap tweak .......

An X-Cap is a capacitor that is used for high voltage AC (120/240 volts). The cap is clad such that upon failure that it should not cause a fire. The Auricap tweak is taking a pair of 0.47 MFD Auricap .......

If you have a cap based PLC that the player is plugged into I would venture to guess there is already an X rated cap performing the same duty in the PLC. You may want to put the Auricap's in there ins .......

I asked about the Hammond a while ago. You can connect wire from the choke to the connector and plug it in AC outlet. I have ordered one and it's on the way too. Will try later. .......

Well, that company has enough confidence to put their branded caps (and lots of them) into their R6 PLC without many fears--even though they are too cheap to get it Listed and Labeled by a Nationaly R .......

I have several Auricaps going on four years now in my DIY balanced power conditioner. No failure to date. I seem to recall seeing Auricaps in earlier versions of the BPT units. .......

I have compared expensive silver micas ($3.11 a cap) with auricaps in my DAC - the auricaps completely outperform the silver micas, but they do cost 4x as much... .......

Do you have a noise problem? I can help you track the many possible sources. A lot of car-fi folks use a big cap to "stiffen" the power source. It won't remove noise, especially if it's from a groundl .......
