the 8 Track Cartridge sounds great and has lots of bass. Lack of deep bass is a problem with all LP issues of Aqualung I have heard. The MFSL is the closest to my old 8 Track in bass. My guess it that .......

Your system list indicates Magnepan MG-1 electrostatic speakers. These are not known for reproducing deep bass. That being said, I don't think you're going to find much in the way of satisfying bass .......

There can be a difference between deeper bass and more bass. MoFis were famous for the smiley face EQ on their early releases. That means more bass. Doesn't mean deeper bass. You won't find much deep .......

The only way to hear deep bass from Jethro Tull is via pre-recorded 7 1/2 IPS Reel to Reels and this MFSL LP. For some reason Ian Anderson had the bass rolled-off on all American and British LPs, have .......

I also just picked up the classic. Vocals B+, Acoustic Guitar B+, Drums A, Electric Guitar B, Bass F. You really have to strain to hear the bass line. The Drums are a stand out however and fun to foll .......

The original American pressing was not very good and had anemic bass. The UK was better. I've never heard what I would call a great pressing of this fabulous LP. Open to suggestions. .......

I have both, and would tend to agree with you on this. THe DCC is overly warm, and a bit thick in the bass, makeing it sound slower than the MoFi. The MoFi is as you say, more punchy. .......

By far the best of these is the Classic Records Clarity Vinyl 45 RPM box set. That was the red box series from Classic Records. Classic Records also released a 33RPM version sourced from the same mast .......
