Back in the 50's and early 60's Wharfedale's were my speakers. All separate drivers and integrated into various systems. Glorious midranges!!! I took a shot at the seller, not the speakers. Wharfedale .......

This is pretty common on the Wharfedale E-Series speakers I have seen. The older style woofer (square magnet) would have the spider come unglued from the basket over time, and occasionally the rubber .......

The two drivers look like the Wharfedale full range models. I had the 12" with foam surround a long while back, and it had excellent sound. They also came with cloth surrounds. The 10" is a fairly rar .......

I'm with Markw on this. Consider 1 kHz as the max. 5-800 would be better. The Wharfedale woofers were heavy cone specialist speakers for just the bass range. To go as high as 3 kHz you'd need the 12/f .......

I own the Pioneer SX 626 and I have 'high end' Wharfedale speakers conneted to it. Would not change that combo at all. Sounds great and at 28 WPC they power the Wharfedale's just fine. Great FM sectio .......

It is not that the woofer can not get low but sub woofers have a non-linear response with a hump that emphasizes the low end. The cutoff you mention is what I'd call a woofer range while below 20 used .......

As the Wharfedale box is only 13" deep, you wouldn't have to worry about venting the enclosure. Most of the horn and driver would vent the enclosure for you. I'm not even sure you could plop that comb .......

They precede the W series from the cabinet design. BIC, the importer of Wharfedale into the US early on did not have labels on the terminal posts of the model or any indication of +/- as they were at .......
