I read somewhere (maybe on rec.audio.tubes) a while back that it is essentially a kit version of the 130, with (maybe?) a few differences. If nothing else pops up, you could always start with a 130 sc .......

My 130 is actually pretty quiet. I do have intermittent hum in the phono stage. It's not as quiet as my Mac but it isn't annoying. The power supply wiring is terribly cramped although neat. My Scott 3 .......

Sorry friend, but the Scott 130's line section is located right in line with the power transformer's windings. The hum is guaranteed through the line section. If you want to prove it to yourself, try .......

There's a 130 on E-Bay now with a good pic of the underside NOT showing the Bumblebee Cap as in the pic you posted. However it does look to me like a lead of a ceramic disc may go to the ground strip .......

I have a 130 in OK condition. I've recapped about 75% of it. I may send it to a pro to get out a few remaining bugs. It is a very fine sounding preamp even with the few problems that I haven't tracked .......

I have one and a 121 sitting on a shelf waiting. It's intended purpose was to be mated to the LK150 I have. It is not restored beyond a good cleaning and quite frankly since life got in the way sittin .......

I can't help you specifically with those three pieces. However, I will say that the RIAA EQ curves are a LOT more accurate in later models. But, that's accurate, not necessarily better sounding. A lot .......

Fender, Yes I have actually gone through all the inputs at one time and shorted them with the selector on each. It does not affect the hum. It is rumored that the 130 selector switch shorts the inputs .......

Culprit - it's the preamp. The low volume followed switching around the cables feeding the Dynacos. Drop in the other Scott 130 and the problem goes away. So one of the 130s can be added to the evergr .......

Stace They are different for sure..The Citation preaamp isn't for everyone.The phono stage in the citation preamp is very correct in its sonic nature and you have to turn the volume up quite high dep .......

Yeah, the tolerance is kind of the issue. The caps that the schematic says should be 10uF are marked 20uF on the unit but measure 35uF (consistently). I'm replacing them with 8uF caps that test within .......
