Seems it can't be done. Roku does onboard decoding for audio, up to 16/44. It will unfold Dolby DTS and Atmos for processing by an HT Receiver DAC however but that is the extent of pass through. What .......

It's fine if you use an external DAC but then so is Squeezebox- neither has a good built in DAC. I love my ROKU with the Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista DAC Music is Emotion .......

Both the Roku and the Slim Devices units stream flac. What it actually does is convert the flac file to wav at the server (your host computer) and stream the wav. .......

I've been happy with the DEQ 24/96 as a dac for my Roku Soundbridge. It beat out my old McCormack DAC-1....easily. I also like it over my Rotel RCD-1070 (when that worked). .......

HP has some out of the box, as well as Tivo and Replay are both excellent solutions. The Roku HD has a video server (supposed to look at pictures sreensaver style, but has add ons that will view video .......

Since you already have an Apple laptop, maybe iTunes is the way to go. If you had a Windows machine, I would recommend a Squeezebox or Roku. They are much more flexible than the Airport Express for mu .......

I think the answer is yes but not all NAS can do RAID. This is a big advantage of NAS over a simple external drive. By the way, some NAS also comes with built-in uPnP server which can be used directly .......

Continues to work just fine. Don't notice any difference with music as it should be. The only minor bummer is to perform a rescan, one must dig into DSM. I had a quick link in the Win tray to do that. .......
