I've been using Kimber Hero balanced ic's between my pre and amp for some time. My understanding (and experience) is balanced connections between true balanced circuits INCREASES volume over unbalance .......

Thanks for the forum tip. Since all record cleaning rituals are anecdotal, I'd rather go a bit overboard with successive rinses until the rinse is absolutely clear, with no foaming, as it enters .......

I find the motor turns too fast to thoroughly scrub the trailing side of the grooves with any motion I can muster. As half (or more) of the dirt resides there (waiting to be freed next playing), I pre .......

Good idea. VPI says it's fine, but for the partition to be bent so much out of the way just doesn't seem right. Particle board can't be a good choice for maintaining elasticity over an extended period .......

As I'm spending work time on this already might as well go all the way. Here's a portion of an email I sent VPI. See the pix above. VPI says it's normal. Looks strange to me. Any comments? I opened .......

Thanks for the reply. No, I dont have the top down. What I mean is there is so little clearance around the sides of the platter, especially at the back where the top is only 1/2 in from the platter. U .......

Just bought a VPI cleaner, and have a couple of questions. Does anyone else have a problem with the sides and cover being too close to the disk so the brush hits it all the time? Should the platter mo .......
