I reset the source device setting inside Volumio. Then, shut it all down including my cell for several minutes. All was good upon rebooting. This is a known issue with some Volumio updates. Thanks Ab .......

As a trial, I used Spotify free which worked fine on the RPI but via airplay. Either by design or error on my part, Spotify no longer would function at all. I reinstalled volumio, bought the base Spot .......

AI's output impedance is 1.6K. Starting in the later years of the 3 series and going forward, the tape outs are opamp driven so that should be a better match than using the main outs. Try a loaner on .......

If by older scope you're referring to an analog unit, yes. Epay is your best bet. Make sure the scope AND probes carry the proper voltage rating for your needs. New analog scopes are available as well .......

You can get good start with impedance matching, by properly sizing the coupling cap in the AI. A 2.0uf will do the job far better than the stock cap. I'd go with a Solen PPT 400V ....and ditch the byp .......

AI's heater supply will hit around 5.8Vdc with four 6922s(6.3V). The 7dj8(7.6V heater) in the AI will never reach working emissions. They will sound eerily quiet....and lacking! I would suggest sendin .......

I've found Hammond chokes don't carry true to their spec'd current and core saturation occurs below their current rating. I too have gone to custom wound chokes with M6 lams....you do get what you pay .......

There isn't a polarity per se. The outer foil is directional and can be determined with a DMM. The outer foil is connected to the lowest impedance part of that circuit to provide the lowest noise....p .......

There are some pres that have gain settings. This may be an option. Otherwise, you'll have to reduce the gain with series resistors on the RCA jacks and or shunt the volume pots. Fairly easy to implem .......

What's the topology of the amp? Soft start is up to you. With 12.5 as C1, the inrush is low and probably not experience reactive loading. I would, at the very least put some NTC thermistors in there. .......

You don't need to "snub" Schottky diodes as they do not have a p-n junction to deal with. However, they do turn on/off which the RRSF can minimize the effects of. I leave the filter across the seconda .......

I too would not use a styrene cap there. They're rather sensitive to heat. In addition to Solen's Teflon, check out their polyprop and tin foil. They're reasonable in price and size. .......

For everything else the 120watt Technics sE-A5 was an amazing amp even at very low power This is probably the result of the SE-A5 residing in Class A! Class B transition can be sonically quite nasty .......

Put the DMM leads on both legs of the secondary, keeping one leg detached from the circuit. You'll get 280Vac, which agrees with what the schemo shows. The PT is good. Take note of the Vdc ratings on .......

Here we have the Sophia Electric Model 91-01 300B It in no way resembles the WE 91 circuit. Look closely at the FWR soldered to the pins. Yes, hum pots, one for the DC 300B and one for the 6SN7. .......
