The one time I heard Tiel speakers in the late 90's with Spectral Electronics in a dealer showroom, they sounded very "bright." I did not care for the sound of the tilted high frequencies. ::: TOPIC:: .......

I like bass. For me it is the foundation of music. Even Jay (the reviewer,) preferred the Tekton over the LRS. I admit I have not heard the latest Maggie's. All earlier incarnations I heard did not do .......

Personally, I would rather have a carpeted floor. I have been in a couple rooms with hardwood floors that did not have enough area rugs and the sound was a mess from bouncing around. .......

From personal experience. Lay thick mil plastic over the concrete. Then lay 3/4" tongue and groove 4' x 8' plywood down. It must be secured to the concrete. We used a Hilti gun. Then lay tar paper ove .......

I would also recommend Poulenc's Gloria for orchestra, chorus and soprano. Great music. I have performed this piece on two different occassions. A link to a recording on YouTube below. .......

At the Liberty B2B-1; especially if you listen to mostly rock music. JA at Stereophile bought one as his reference and he also listens to classical music. Not only is it a great phono preamp, JA found .......

When it comes to recorded music. I do not enjoy a solo piano recording that has the bass on the left and the treble on the right. So that is the way a pianist hears it, but as a listener I hear the op .......
